TORONTO WILL HOST WORLD CUP GAMES IN CANADA IN 2026
A cidade de Toronto sediará a primeira partida masculina canadense na FIFA WORLD CUP 26 a partir de 12 de junho de 2026.
A primeira partida acontecerá no Estádio de Toronto (BMO Field) e deverá ser a copa do mundo mais inclusiva e diversificada da história, já que será apresentada em 16 cidades e estádios diferentes no Canadá, México e Estados Unidos.
Mais do que mostrar ao mundo a beleza da cidade de Toronto, são muitos os benefícios que o evento pode trazer como criar mais de 3.585 empregos, receber cerca de 300 mil visitantes e gerar uma receita de cerca de US$393 milhões para a cidade. Espera-se que Toronto e Vancouver – a outra cidade sediada pelo Canadá – rendam em torno de 1,2 milhões de dólares.
“Toronto dará as boas-vindas ao mundo para experimentar a rica diversidade e o dinamismo de nossa cidade multicultural”, disse a prefeita Olivia Chow em um comunicado.
Os jogos da Copa do Mundo na cidade de Toronto ocorrerão entre 12 de junho a 26 de junho de 2026.

TORONTO WILL HOST WORLD CUP GAMES IN CANADA IN 2026
The city of Toronto will host the first Canadian men’s match at FIFA WORLD CUP 26 starting June 12, 2026.
The first match will take place at Toronto Stadium (BMO Field) and is expected to be the most inclusive and diverse World Cup in history, as it will be presented in 16 different cities and stadiums in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
More than showing the world the beauty of the city of Toronto, there are many benefits that the event can bring, such as creating more than 3,585 jobs, receiving around 300,000 visitors and generating revenue of around US$393 million for the city. Toronto and Vancouver – the other city based in Canada – are expected to generate around 1.2 million dollars.
“Toronto will welcome the world to experience the rich diversity and dynamism of our multicultural city,” Mayor Olivia Chow said in a statement.
The World Cup games in the city of Toronto will take place between June 12th and June 26th, 2026.
