Todos sabemos como as pessoas estão com dificuldade para poder viver na cidade de Toronto e como os aumentos podem afetar a acessibilidade e o bem-estar dos residentes, no entanto, o orçamento do TTC aprovou o
não aumento das tarifas de metrô para 2024.
O TTC aprovou um orçamento para 2024 que congela as tarifas nas taxas de 2023 e também aumenta o serviço para os torontonianos na cidade. O novo orçamento é de $2,6 milhões e investirá em serviços convencionais e transporte milhões e investirá em serviços convencionais e transporte
Os serviços aumentaram de 9,5 por cento para 9,7 por cento em 2024, o que pode potencialmente ajudar a populaçāo que pega o metrô diariamente.
“O TTC é a força vital desta cidade e precisa de ser devidamente a prefeita de Toronto, Olivia Chow num comunicado.
Outros serviços incluem o investimento de mais de $28 milhões no programa de Segurança, Proteção e Bem-Estar Comunitário do TTC; aumento no horário de atendimento do Wheel-Trans (serviço de transporte coletivo da cidade de Toronto que oferece uma opção de transporte acessível, investimento na manutenção da Linha 2 do metrô.

We all know how people are struggling to afford to live in the city of Toronto and how increases can affect the affordability and well-being of residents,
however, the TTC budget approved not to increase the train fares in 2024.
The TTC approved a budget for 2024 that freezes fares at 2023 rates and also increases the service for Torontanians in the city. The new budget is for $2.6 million and will invest in both conventional and Wheel-Trans services across the city.
The services will increase from 9.5 per cent to 9.7 per cent in 2024, which can potentially help Torontonians who take the TTC on a daily basis.
“The TTC is the lifeblood of this City, and it needs to be properly funded if it is to truly be the better way,” said Mayor Olivia Chow in a statement.
Other services include investing more than $28 million in the TTC’s Community Safety, Security and Well- Being program; increases Wheel-Trans service hours and invests in maintenance for Line 2 in the subway.
