Brazilfest 2025 celebrates culture,Music, and unity with contagious energy

What makes a festival go down in history? If you enjoyed BrazilFest 2025, you already know the answer. This year’s edition surpassed all previous ones and lit up Toronto with a vibrant mix of colour, rhythm, and flavour. Produced by Itabras under the

leadership of Arilda Oliveira, a Brazilian woman known for her drive, talent and boundless energy, the largest Brazilian festival in Canada brought thousands of people to Earlscourt Park, at St. Clair and Caledonia, to celebrate the strength and joy of our culture.

From its modest beginnings on Toronto Island, which already brought the Brazilian community together with excitement, the event has grown year after year and has become a symbol of summer in the city. Today, it features an expansive setup, vibrant stages, stalls offering traditional Brazilian food, and a rich lineup of DJs, local performers and artists flown in directly from Brazil.

This year’s festival once again welcomed Mayor Olivia Chow, who has supported the event enthusiastically since her election, reaffirming her commitment to the Brazilian community and our culture. The event was officially presented by LiUNA Local 183, further strengthening the bond between workers and cultural celebration.

Arilda Oliveira deserves recognition for her outstanding work in promoting Brazilian culture in Canada. Her decision to bring Banda Revelação was a true gift to the audience. With a lively and energetic performance, the group turned the stage into a true pagode celebration, thrilling the crowd with their greatest hits and making BrazilFest 2025 one of the most unforgettable editions in the festival’s history.
