Rogers Canada Service outages
Last Friday, July 8, 2022, one of Canada’s largest internet providers, Rogers Communications, experienced a general outage of internet services and mobile networks across the country.
The situation has caused chaos and congestion in several essential services across the country, such as ATMs, banks, police lines and 911 emergency lines.
In addition, many homes were also affected by the event and citizens had to resort to other forms of connection, with other providers, in alternative networks, in restaurants and cafeterias, among other places, where they could establish a connection.
The company, which dominates a large portion of the market, announced that it was working as quickly as possible to restore services that were affected and that it would give credit to customers affected by the outages.
Customers who have had Rogers Provider (Fido) services interrupted and have also tried to resolve billing errors or other issues to no avail, may refer their complaints to CCTS. CCTS services are free and accessible to all customers.
