The Ontario government supports small businesses through Main Street digital project
The Ontario government is supporting small businesses online through renewal digitization and reaching new customers through the Digital Main Street project.
Over 41 thousand companies have already benefited from the project and the idea is to expand it to another 36 thousand companies.
The teams supporting the initiative are made up of recent technology and marketing graduates, and the services are made available to communities across Ontario.
Some of the services include creating websites, managing social media and e-commerce platforms, as well as providing individual technical assistance to companies.
“Through Digital Main Street, we are providing business owners and operators with the tools they need to strengthen their online presence and enhance their technical skills so they can better serve their customers, contribute to our economic stability and create jobs”, said Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, Vic Fedeli.
