Canada Opens Its Mountains to Welcome Newcomers

Did you know that skiing is one of Canada’s most thrilling and iconic winter traditions? Thanks to a partnership between the Institute for Canadian Citizenship (ICC) and the Canadian Ski Council, the Canooapp is offering exclusive discounts on lift passes at more than 50 ski resorts across the country. The initiative invites newcomers to explore Canada beyond its cities and to fully embrace the spirit of winter.

Learning to ski is easier than it seems. Most resorts provide certified instructors, lessons for all ages, and complete equipment rentals on-site — everything beginners need to feel confident on their first runs. And if someone happens to get hurt, help is never far away: ski patrol and first-aid teams are always ready to provide immediate assistance on the slopes.

With newcomers representing the fastest-growing demographic in the country, Canada is opening not only its mountains but also its heart, welcoming thousands of new residents to discover the beauty, energy, and wonder of a true Canadian winter.
