ELECTIONS 2026: THE BRAZIL WE CHOOSE FOR THE FUTURE

Imagine if, before choosing a candidate, every voter stopped to consider the impact that decision could have on the country’s future and on the lives of millions of Brazilians. In 2026, more than 158 million voters are eligible to elect the president, governors, senators and members of Congress. Behind every name lies a much bigger question: what kind of Brazil do we want to build?

Look around you and think about the country we have and the country we could have. With its size, resources and potential, Brazil could offer so much more in education, health care, public safety, employment, development and quality of life. Yet poor political decisions, mismanagement and a lack of commitment to the public interest continue to keep millions of Brazilians from accessing these opportunities.

Long before you arrive at the polling station, make an informed choice. Research the candidates’ backgrounds, examine their proposals, consider their track records and reflect on who truly deserves your trust. By Election Day, your decision should already be made. At the voting machine, carefully check the information displayed before confirming your vote.

Once the polls close, remember that your responsibility continues. Follow the work of those elected, hold them accountable for their commitments, scrutinize their decisions and demand responsible use of public funds.

When you think about your vote, think about all of Brazil. Think about those who work, study, raise their children, grow older, face hardships and dream of better opportunities. Think also about the children and young people who will inherit the country we are building.

The vote is individual. Brazil’s future belongs to everyone.
